The Order 1886 Review

The Order 1886

2/5

Released a week ago ( and yes I know, about a week ago ) it has received harsh reviews based on the lack of quality game play as it concentrates on the cut scenes and has been named a movie instead of a game. There has also been a lot of criticism about the lack of open world with the game being very linear.
Despite all the flaws the game is one of the most impressive cinematic games out there and has presented a story that has all of us intrigued. It has also sold very well after the release.
The game also ended with unanswered question that have left everyone waiting for a sequel. I can say we are all hoping that the sequel will be more impressive while keeping the awesome cinematic features but only time will tell.
Anyway I will definitely be in the line to buy the sequel. Will you?
Good luck to the Order 1886 team and congratulation on an amazing game.

Have a great one,
Amira Ibrahim

Amanda Hemingway

Amanda Hemingway (also known as Jan Siegel)

Jan Siegel is a pseudonym of Amanda Hemingway, who was born in London, UK in 1955 to an architect George Askew and Mavis Gold. She grew up in Lewes in East Sussexs and is a fantasy author whom is best known for her Fern Capel Series.
I was given the greatest of pleasure to meet a wonderful person by heart as well as a successful author, Amanda Hemingway. Writer of  the Greenstone Grail: The Sangreal Trilogy One ( Best seller)
she is truly an inspiration. A great role model!
Having bought her book called the devil's apprentice, I have instantly fallen in love with the style she writes in. It is very captivating and would highly suggest that you give the book a read.
The devils apprentice is about the devil himself or what one would call the dark one. Inspired from the apprentice itself, the book takes us through the journey of the apprentices and the tasks they must face in the mythical and historical trails that will shape them to become the dark one's apprentice. The devil is retiring... but who's taking over?

Here is the blurb of this fascinating book.

The Devil is retiring… but who’s taking over?

The Devil is retiring… but who’s taking over?

When teenage Pen inherits the job of caretaker for a London building with no doors and only a secret entrance from the caretaker’s lodge – which she must never use – little does she know it will lead her into unbelievable danger.
For Azmordis, also known as Satan, a spirit as old as Time and as powerful as the Dark, Immortality is running out. In the house with no front door, a group of teenagers are trapped in assorted dimensions of myth and history, undergoing the trials that will shape them to step into his cloven footwear – or destroy them.
Assisted by only by an aspiring teenage chef called Gavin and Jinx, a young witch with more face-piercing than fae-power, Pen must try to stop the Devil’s deadly game plan – before it’s too late.

Has this captivated you ?

It sure has for me!

    The Universe

Today we will be exploring something different. The universe instead of particles. But there is more to be said than not when it comes to life beyond our oasis: Earth.

    Hubble Sphere

Astronomical bodies moving away from us at a speed, equal to or greater than the speed of light, are outside an imaginary boundary called the Hubble Sphere. We can see objects outside the Hubble Sphere as it expands faster than the light emitted can move away. The light emitted moves away until it enters a sub-luminal region of space or enters the Hubble Sphere. The observable universe is larger than the Hubble Sphere and is limited by the Particle Horizon.

The Particle Horizon which is the maximum distance from which particles could have travelled to the observer in the age of the universe.

    Is love inevitable?

    Is love inevitable?

So what is love? Love is one of the greatest emotions of all time. Love is the feeling that one gets inside that is uncontrollable, it is a bonding that one can have with another person. It can be unconditional and also blinding.

I firmly believe that love is both within and without our own control, based on events and our reactions. If we react positively to the actions of the other, then it is our choice. But that is based solely upon how you were raised, and how you chose to accept the way you were raised. The way you see the world controls how you feel about it. Some people hate the mushy, lovey-dovey kind of relationships, and will likely not fall in love with someone of that genre of love. Some people love the love-hate relationships, and would rather be with someone who feels the same way. Of course, this isn't always true. Opposites do sometimes attract.

I Strongly believe that fate is never set in stone. We determine our own destiny. That includes who we love and how we react. Love isn't some mystical thing; it is, simply put, the reaction to the actions of others. But, of course, this makes it sound... not as appealing. Don't get me wrong: love is a wonderful thing. There is no other feeling like it! But it is not a magical thing that is beyond the control of the one who wields it. People say that love makes them do crazy things. In a way, that's true. But it is always within the control of the person in love.

    Karting blog by Faruk

Teamsport North London Track... the racing line!

Hello there. My name is the Red Stig (Anand Tiwari).

Today I will be teaching you my racing line and I will be showing you the rules of karting.

In Karting, there are 6 different flags.

    Green Flag = Go!

Yellow Flag = Slow down to a walking pace and NO OVERTAKING!

Red Flag = Stop where you are immediately!

Black Flag = You have been ignoring Reds and Yellows or you have been causing too many collisions. Head to the pits at once!

Blue Flag: There is a faster driver behind you. You have been driving too slow and you are holding them up. Get out of the way and let them pass.

Chequered Flag: The Race has began or ended.

Once you fully understand the rules, you are ready to race.

    Antimatter

    Image result for antimatter

Anyone who has read the bloggers page will understand that I am huge physics person. Its interesting to learn about the way everything works. So I will be placing weekly posts about different aspects of quantum mechanics or any other parts of physics that seem interesting enough to share. So be sure to check the science page every Tuesday for your weekly dose of physics.

Before I start I would also like to point out that I will be explaining it bit by bit so that it is easy to understand, even for those who have not studied quantum mechanics before. So here it goes; the first post where I will be talking or rather writing about antimatter.

In particle physics antimatter is a material made up of antiparticles which have the same mass of an ordinary particle but an opposite charge :
    Matter - Antimatter
    Electron e−, β− - Positron β+, e+
    Proton  p+ - Anti-proton p
    Neutron n*0 - Anti-neutron n

Encounter between the particles and antiparticles lead to annihilation of both giving off to photons, neutrons and lower mass particle pairs or lower mass antimatter particle pairs.

So why is there more matter than antimatter in the universe as the same amount of each should have been made at the big bang. The answer is that no one knows, it continues to be one of if not the largest mystery in particle physics. This lack of symmetry is called baryogenesis.

There have been two reasons presented to answer this mystery.
    1. There may have actually been more matter made than antimatter when the big bang occurred
    2.  Both types of particles managed in one or another to escape each other's fatal grasp
Both reasons have been presented with evidence but no solid evidence, leaning solidly to one side has been presented and it may be a long time before that happens.

Although the creation of antimatter in our matter based world could be beneficial to the human kind as it could be used as rocket fuel which would advance our search of the universe. It could also pose a huge danger as attempts to make antimatter bombs have occurred and will continue to occur. I can very easily state that an antimatter bomb is one of mass destruction and could claim so many lives.

Keep Learning and Have a Great Day,
    Quantum Mechanics Fan,

    CONSOLE WARS

Good evening everybody! Just before I start this blog I would like to say how amazing it is that we have reached 1000 views! We couldn't have done it without you guys, the reader. So lets get onto the blog shall we?!

Console wars, one of the many reasons why you will see a fight at a 'Nerd Convention' or a 'Gaming Expedition', sad thing is, most gamers are arrogant these days, on and on and on! Gamers (such as myself) blabber about what console is better and why it is, me personally, I enjoy my xbox one, I previously 'OWN'D and PWN'D' people on playstation 4, but those regretful days are over now, fanboy/fangirl is the term used for somebody who favors one thing compared to the other, in this case somebody may prefer an Xbox one rather than a Playstation 4.

Gamers personally go into a HUGE FIT when somebody calls them a fanboy/fangirl, most fights start between two 10 year old kids these days online, talking about which console is better before its bed time at 8:00, and most of you who don't play video games will wonder to yourselves, "Why do people argue over these 'Computers'" (DON'T CALL IT A COMPUTER IT IS ANNOYING!), main reason people argue over these things are because of system features, such as exclusives or graphical quality.

Console wars cause a lot of problems in the gaming community ranging from people insulting each others mother's (as gamers do) or just simply having an all out brawl (don't know why I put simply), either way Console wars have caused a lot of controversy in the gaming community and it won't stop anytime soon. My personal experiences have ranged from throwing fried chicken at people to breaking their controllers, yeah, all gamers have EXTREME disagreements about consoles, even the quiet  ones (not me). But in the end, we are all gamers, may not have respect for each other after all the online trash talking, but we are still a community who love what we do, we wouldn't ever ask for any other hobby in the world, WE ARE GAMERS.

    Till the next time guys

A Wanted Man (Lee Child) Review

    A Wanted Man (Lee Child)

A wanted man is a fantastic book written by Lee child. It is the first book I have read by Lee child and I have no regret what so ever. A wanted man is part of Lee Child's Jack Reacher Thriller. It is about  a man called called Jack Reacher who is big, rough and has a freshly busted nose. He hitches rides. He gets picked up by three strangers( two men and a woman). There is something going on here as there is a road blocks . Is Reacher used as a decoy? Read the book to find out.

I would rate the book 4.5 out of 5 stars as it is very engaging and is certainly a great read.

The Jack Reacher series has been published as a movie too!The movie is called Jack Reacher. Here is the trailer below.

    Possibly the best MOBA game?

With more than 27 million players on a daily basis, League Of Legends has claimed its title as the worlds best MOBA game. But what is a MOBA, you ask? Well, it's a multiplayer online battle arena and is one of the most developed as well as popular game genre. MOBA's usually have a steep learning curve, meaning that your probably going to fail at first (depending on which MOBA) and takes time to get the hang of it.
The gameplay of a typical MOBA game consists of a 5v5 or 3v3 setup, with each player controlling a unit, which is usually referred to a hero or champion. The goal of most MOBA's is destroying the opposing team's base. With a wide variety of champions to choose from, each having a different play style, it can take a very long time to master the game. That's why MOBA games are so addicting and consume most of your time, as they are hard to come to a halt once you've started playing.

In the free game of League of Legends, each team tries to destroy the opposing side's Nexus, which is protected by other powerful structures and of course enemy players. In order for a team to be victorious and win, each player within the team has to be methodical, organised, focused as well as have the ability to be a good team player, as that is what the game is about - being able to play with strangers which you have probably have never met before in your life.

However, with the amount of people playing the game, there are also those who try to be annoying by 'trolling' the game. These trolls exist to destroy your game and grow from the toxicity of the game. Usually they act randomly, as they would intentionally die to the enemies and alter the balance of the game. However, the smart players would just ignore the trolls and continue playing their game and not give into the trolls and the toxicity that they bring alongside their gameplay.

Aside from the trolls and toxicity, League Of Legends is a very successful MOBA and has proven to be so through the countless efforts of the company of RIOT to continue to develop this game even further. You could also earn money from playing games, as Aiden Sylvester had said in the previous blog, through either entering tournaments or competitions such as the LCS or participating in the LOLesports community and becoming a professional League player.

There are two main types of League players, those who play for fun and those who play professionally (or tryhard). Those who play for fun usually tend to post videos on youtube of them playing the game. There are several popular League gamers on youtube who upload content of their league games. Some of the most popular League of Legends youtubers are as follows: Sp4zie, SivHD, Keyori and VideogameDunkey. If you are interested in viewing their channels, I assure you that they are extremely funny and entertaining (if your familiar with the game), links for their youtube channels are listed below:

    Sp4zie: https://www.youtube.com/user/Sp4zie

    SivHD: https://www.youtube.com/user/WQLFY

    Keyori: https://www.youtube.com/user/DissidiusWasTaken

    VideogameDunkey: https://www.youtube.com/user/videogamedunkey

Overall, League Of Legends has shown to be successfully developing into a game with a better community and less toxicity within it, therefore attracting a larger group of players every year. It has also won several awards from when it had first started in October 27th 2009. Within the time period of only 2 years, the game has won 5 awards:

IGN PC Best Strategy Game 2009 - (December 14, 2009)

    Gamespy Gamers' Choice Awards 2009 - (December 21, 2009)

1st Game Developers Online Choice Awards - (October 8, 2010)

    Golden Joystick Award - (October 29, 2010)

    Golden Joystick Award - (October 21, 2011)

Which clearly shows how developed this game has become with a constant increase of yearly players as well as the high rating it has produced.

I would rate it a 9 out of 10, and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't played the game as of yet. Keep in mind that the first few games may be daunting for you, which is completely understandable as you may have no idea what to do or how to do it, but the more you play the better you'll understand the game and will continue to improve your gameplay as well as your knowledge for the game.

Stay tuned for more upcoming posts,

    David.

    Is Gaming Beneficial Or Not?

Gaming. An infinite world of imagination in the palm of your hands. Most people around you probably play video games a lot, in fact we are pretty much on video games all the time. When you are at work on your phone (hopefully not all the time), on the train and at home. When you really think about it, you would presumably think that you get nothing out of this apart from entertainment and expect it to ruin people's lives HOWEVER,  gaming has started to grow and over populate our world and I know that sounds bad but trust me that is a good thing.
Have any of you watched people on Youtube such as KSI or TheSyndicateProject? If you have, you would know that they make a living off of video games. You know them ANNOYING adverts on youtube videos before the actual video? yeah that is because the creator of the video has made it so that every time the advert is displayed the creator makes money!

Anyways, now that the boring stuff is out of the way, it is time to get to some interesting facts which will persuade you to even do this as a hobby in the future! Do you know Pewdiepie (34 million subscribers) generates over TWENTY MILLION dollars a year just by playing all sorts of video games!! Another way that games are extremely beneficial is that you can widen your knowledge of video games by perusing a career in video game development! Another thing you could do, is compete in the E-Sports community, when you play certain competitive games for high values of money. For example,  OpTiC Gaming are a group of young adults who compete in Call Of Duty competitions and have earned millions off of beating other teams and are one of the most popular E-Sports teams in the world.

There are a wide range videos which feature fans of these E-sports teams and content creators screaming and getting excited over the fact that they are in the same online games as the the professional players. So, I hope I have interested you in the world of gaming and entertainment and how it can be expanded to making people RICH! If you want to find out more and even try out something like this as a hobby, you can, maybe even go from a hobby to a full-time job? Imaginations turn to dreams turn to reality, thank you guys for reading my blog, this has been Aiden Sylvester, I will see you guys in another Gaming Blog!

    Valentines

    Valentines

We've come to that day once again.
The day where one shows the affection for another person.
Valentines can be the day where you are able to share your love and affection with each other. Many couples have done this by going to watch 50 shades of grey as a treat or going out to have a nice romantic dinner etc... But there are also many people who are single and hope they had a valentine. Some of those people don't care about valentines but some people like me would consider valentines as one of those days which are unlucky as they do not have anyone to share their affections with.

I would like to say Happy Valentines to all the single girls out there.

So what do you think about valentines?

    Comment your thoughts.

Kodaline - Coming Up For Air

Kodaline - Coming Up For Air

    7/10

The Irish band have done it again! Produced another album which seems to be a hit with the majority of their fans.
There has been a lot of talk among fans due to this dislike about Kodaline, changing their sweet acoustic sound to a more electric sound. Despite their change of sound there has been a positive response from a number of fans.
I, for one, have been a fan since they released their first album 'In A Perfect World', which automatically won me over. Their most popular song 'All I Want' has even placed in to the film adaptation of The Fault In Our Stars. Despite their change of sound, I continue to be fan. Despite the conflict of the different views, I believe that this album is just as good as any and along with other fans will be waiting for the release of their next album.
Good luck to Kodaline on their future endeavors.

Here is one of their music videos. Enjoy

    Assassin's Creed - Unity

    Assassin's Creed
    Unity

    3/5

    Acunity.jpg

Here we go again with another hugely anticipated Assassins Creed game. The franchise has grown immensely,  gaining more and more fans as time goes on. It's historical setting contrasts with the technology which we live by on a daily basis.
Unity is set in 1789 in the time of the French revolution. You play as Arno, as he joins the assassins after his adoptive father was murdered. His search for justice led him to the assassins where he found his place after his biological father who had been an assassin before being murdered.
The graphics in Unity put other games to shame, but we can all say that the release was disappointing with all of the in-game bugs, which ruined the gaming experience for many players around the world. Although the game was set up so the extra missions and scenery were supposed to be a bonus, I believe that it took over the game. The main story started off as being lovable, as it portrays Arno's love story with Elise. The story develops quickly very a short period of time. Being a huge fan of the franchise, I was waiting for another long yet enticing story and instead ended up with a dark look at the works behind Paris. The lack of likability meant that it was hard to hold empathy or be swayed by the story in the way in which we had expected to be.
None the less, the game was set up beautifully and ticked all the boxes for it to be an amazing game. The side missions give a whole new view on the game and makes it that more exciting.
So even though its quite disappointing, we can all admit we will be waiting for the next game.
Good luck to the assassins creed team and congrats on creating another masterpiece, except this time we are waiting for a female protagonist.

Life Is Strange - Episode 1 : American Chrysalis

    Life Is Strange
    Episode 1 : American Chrysalis

    3/5

Life is strange is a brand new game that has gained a huge fan base despite having been out for a few weeks.
We follow the story of a photography student Maxine Caulfield as she discovers her ability to reverse time to change her choices on how to interact with people. Many choices are presented within the game with so much happening within the space of one day.
Throughout reviews posted about this game the storyline has been credited for being innovative and enticing but the game has been let down by the poor dialogue and certain of the choices presented.
Its a huge let down that such an interesting game has been somewhat ruined by the acting and dialogue but none the less I can very certainly say that we are waiting for the next episode in March this year. At least I am.
We all hope Max luck as she discovers herself through the five episodes.

For those new to the game the trailer is as shown below

    The voice- Esmée Denters

    The Voice- Esmée Denters

Here we see a video of the wonderful Esmée Denters who after having a successful record/album with Justin Timberlake when she was 18 went through a tough time. As we all know the musical industry is very tough and if your very clever you will be able to sustain yourself. Examples of artist that have sustained themselves would be Katy Perry and Chris Brown.

Lets wish  Esmée Denters good luck now that she is on the Voice and hope she can win it and finally start her musical career again.

    Friday the 13th

    Friday the 13th

So we're back to that day that tends to bring bad luck to everyone. Friday the 13th. There are actually 3 Friday the 13th this year.
So why is it that Friday the thirteen is seen as being so unlucky that there has even been a franchise named after it?
Well if nothing bad has happened during the week it is seen usually that it will occur on Friday, as everyone is running round trying to finish before the weekend begins.
Thirteen is seen as being unlucky for certain reasons. Most things stop at 12 such as the month and the times tables we are made to learn. So it no surprise we see it as unlucky, but odd numbers in general can be said to be less lucky than even numbers as they have this odd sense of irregularity as it is hard to divide and seems unconventional.
So the seemingly unlucky day is just unconventional to us in more ways than one but is it actually unlucky?
Well each person has their own views and no matter what we can all say that their is a justified reason for our illogical fear of this one date.

    The Theory of Everything

    8/10

The 2015 film has gained a lot of attention for being an emotional yet the light hearted film that shows the pain and joy in one of the best scientists living: Stephen Hawking. The film goes down a more abstract route by looking at the relation between Stephen and the girl he fell in love with during his time in university, Jane Wilde. The film has been given several awards for amazing work done by both the actors and the people behind the camera.

The film since its release has gained high review scores and has won the hearts of many people around the world. The actor Eddie Redmayne, who played Stephen Hawking, can been commended for his accurate interpretation of how Stephen would have lost movement of his body due to a disease. In my opinion, the transformation looked unbelievably real. To the extent that it is quite strange to see him standing tall at the premiere. The film was based on a book written by Jane Wilde and if anything, has been adapted to this heartbreaking yet lovable story of the life of these two extraordinary people.

I don't know about anyone else but I would definitely watch this again. The amount of laughter and tears it brings is amazing.
